Can I have a hidden camera in my own flat or house?
Yes. Monitoring your own home to protect your property is legal, and recordings made purely for personal use are generally covered by the GDPR exemption for household activities. Never point the camera at a bathroom, toilet or guest bedroom, and do not film your neighbour's property or the public street.
Can I record a babysitter, cleaner or tradesperson?
