A regular dash cam will record an incident, but you usually only get to the footage once you get back to your vehicle. The internet-connected models available at Cool-mania offer significantly more control. They allow you to check the location of your vehicle remotely, and select models also provide a live feed directly to your phone, tablet or computer.
A live dash cam allows you to check what is happening in or around your vehicle, even if you are completely elsewhere. This solution is suitable not only for private vehicles, but also for company cars, vans, taxis or fleets. It is also useful if you have a new driver in the family and you want to keep things under control.
Connecting your dash cam to a mobile network or cloud service extends regular recording to include remote vehicle monitoring. Depending on the specific model, you can use, for example:
GPS dash cams link video footage with data about the vehicle's location and route. In the event of an accident, you can more easily reconstruct the course of the incident. GPS is also practical for monitoring company vehicles or cars used by multiple drivers. This means you have your entire fleet under control from one place and one application.

GPS tracking will show you where the vehicle is (similar to GPS locator). Live streaming goes one step further and allows you to view the current image in front of the vehicle, behind the vehicle or directly inside it, depending on the type of camera.
You will appreciate the difference, for example, when the car is parked in a remote parking lot, used by another driver, or is on a business trip. A view from the interior of the car can also come in handy if you have a new driver in the family or are traveling with children.
A car camera with live transmission is especially suitable in situations where information about the vehicle's position alone is not enough. At Cool-mania you will find compact two- and three-channel car cameras, as well as more complex DVR systems with support for up to four cameras.
The multi-channel system can monitor the front and rear of the vehicle, the interior and its sides. It is therefore suitable for vans, company fleets, trucks and larger commercial vehicles. It significantly simplifies vehicle maneuvering.
When choosing, first determine which parts of the vehicle you want to monitor. If you need to record, for example, the road in front of the vehicle and its interior or the space behind the vehicle, a two-camera system will suffice.
If you want wider vehicle coverage and fewer blind spots, a three- or four-channel setup will be more suitable.
Important parameters include camera resolution, storage capacity, power supply and internet connection type. Models with 4G support generally require a compatible SIM card with an active data connection.
If you want to have remote access to the camera even when parked, a fixed connection to the vehicle's 12 V or 24 V electrical system is suitable. This way, the camera does not have to depend solely on power from the cigarette lighter socket.
Some GPS dash cams may require a mobile app, active data SIM card, cloud service or additional online tracking license to use all features, so always check the specific model description, supported connection types, SIM card requirements and recording storage options before purchasing.
This will avoid compatibility issues and make it easier to choose a setup that will exactly meet your requirements.

No. Remote live image transmission requires an internet connection. For 4G dash cams, this is most often provided by a SIM card with an active data plan. You can purchase one from any verified mobile operator.
Models equipped with a GPS module can record and display the vehicle's position on a map, but standard GPS recording does not necessarily provide real-time remote tracking. To display the GPS position in real time (or even a live image from the camera), dash cams with the option of inserting a SIM card with data services are used. The range of available data and functions depends on the specific device and the application or platform used.
Selected dash cam models in our offer allow remote access not only via a mobile application, but also via a web platform on a computer or tablet.
Yes. GPS tracking, driving history, remote access and multi-channel recording are useful for monitoring company cars, vans and vehicles that are regularly used by multiple drivers, making it a great choice for fleets and companies with a large number of cars.
