Na pamäťovej karte v hlavnom priečinku vytvorte textový dokument s názvom „TIMERSET.txt“ (bez úvodzoviek). Potom tento dokument otvorte a napíšte napr. „20161019123235 Y“ (bez úvodzoviek) 2016 – rok, 10 – mesiac, 19 - deň, 12 – hodina, 32 – minúta, 35 sekunda, Y – zobrazovanie času a dátumu vo videu (pre vypnutie zobrazovania času a dátumu napíšte „N“). Následne kartu vložte do zariadenia a zapnite. Kamera by mala automaticky nastaviť čas podľa zadaných parametrov v dokumente a následne tento dokument bude automaticky odstránený.
